Some Jersey City cops rumored to be on the juice

More than three dozen Jersey City cops are being investigated for allegations they were juicing up.

Jersey City officials have confirmed that a group of officers are facing an internal affairs investigation concerning alleged illegal steroid use. The investigation began three weeks ago.

No charges have been filed, and no officers have been disciplined. Mayor Jerramiah Healy issued a statement on the situation to let the public know Jersey City is serious.

?We are conducting a thorough investigation and are taking every measure possible to uncover the facts surrounding these allegations,? said Healy in the statement.

The probe started when New York City police officers raided a Brooklyn pharmacy last year. After the raid, the NYPD alerted Jersey City?s department that some of its officers may be using illegal steroids.
