Student pilot, instructor survive close call

A student pilot and his instructor had a close call Sunday after a botched landing shortly after takeoff led to the pair's airplane flipping over.
The incident occurred before noon at Lincoln Park Airport. After takeoff, the two attempted an emergency landing. The plane hit the ground hard and went airborne after the impact.
The plane then crashed through a chain at the end of the runway and flipped over. Both managed to walk away unscathed.
The FAA is investigating the incident.
