Mother Nature partially toppled an abandoned Newark building that neighbors say they've been complaining to the city about for years.
Heavy rain caused the collapse at 67 4th St. Tuesday night. Crews temporarily evacuated neighbors on both sides Wednesday while they demolished the rest of the burned out structure.
According to residents, they unsuccessfully tried to get the city to demolish the building for 10 years.
In nearby Livingston, strong wind gusts brought down a tree, which landed on power lines and a car. The car owner says he's just thankful no one was hurt.
