Spitzer's fall leads to rise in fame for call girl

A major fall from grace for New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer has meant a huge rise in fame for the 22-year-old call girl he allegedly paid big bucks for.

It?s been less than a week since the news broke about Spitzer?s alleged involvement with a prostitution ring and his subsequent resignation. It was revealed Thursday that the alleged call girl, ?Kristen,? is actually a Jersey girl who attended Wall High School. Ashley Alexandra Dupre, born Ashley Youmans, has become someone people want to know more about.

Just two days ago, the aspiring singer?s song could be downloaded for free. Now, people must pay 98 cents for her debut single. Dupre?s song is also the number one most requested tune on local radio station Z 100. In addition to YouTube videos being dedicated to her, Dupre was number 35 on Google Trends.

Meanwhile, Spitzer?s resignation will take effect Monday. Lt. Gov. David Paterson is set to take over at that time.
