Matos McGreevey denies claims of threesomes

(AP) - Dina Matos McGreevey says published claims that she engaged in a sexual trysts with her estranged husband and a campaign aide are "completely false."

Matos McGreevey blames former Democratic Gov. James McGreevey for stories about a former campaign aide's claims that he had consensual sex with the McGreeveys many times.

In an e-mail message to The Associated Press on Monday, Matos McGreevey says the stories were prompted by the gay former governor whom she is divorcing.

Matos McGreevey's comments come after 29-year-old Teddy Pedersen told The Star-Ledger and New York Post that he had threesomes with the McGreeveys for about two years during their courtship and into their marriage. Pedersen says the trysts ended when McGreevey was elected governor in 2001.

No comment yet from McGreevey; his lawyer declined to comment.
