Bush to address housing issues in Garden State visit
President Bush is set to attend a credit counseling service Friday in Freehold and is expected to make a statement concerning housing.
Bush will tour Novadebt, a non-profit credit counseling agency with 47 counselors in Freehold. No further elaboration on Bush's housing statement has been offered yet. Still, Novadebt workers say they've been excited about the president's visit since learning of it last week.
The agency handles as many as 300 calls per day from homeowners dealing with the mortgage crisis. Joel Greenberg says Novadebt is a place for people who don't know where to turn with their mortgage problems.
"They just need a little bit of help," says Greenberg.
