Economy makes rough waves for New Jersey boating

Some New Jersey mariners say the economy could sink this year's boating season in New Jersey.
In addition to increased costs on items like gas, boat sales are being hurt by the nation's slumping economy. Ed Harrison of Brick's Baywood Marina says while the more expensive boats are still selling, the small and less costly boats aren't moving.
According to Harrison, those who would be interested in shelling out the money for a modest boat are the ones feeling the economy's sting.
A 30 to 40 percent dip in rentals has also been experienced at the marina.
Money issues can't totally anchor the boating season, according to Harrison. He says those who love to boat will find a way to get out on the water.
