Police call gunshots at Clifton station 'a bold move'
Separate incidents involving vandalism and gunshots at Clifton substations have led police to believe they are being targeted.
Police learned three shots were fired into the front window of the Lakeview Avenue substation Wednesday morning. No officers were inside at the time, but authorities are still calling it a bold move.
"It's very unusual that somebody would have the nerve to target a police station," says Clifton Police Lt. Richard Berdnick.
Authorities say another substation on Main Street was hit by vandals who spray-painted vulgarities on it on Tuesday.
Police are using extra patrols to keep an eye on the substations. Investigators do not believe the incidents are related at this point.
