Springfield family at war with neighboring condos

A Springfield family is at war with their neighbors, a new condo complex that is still under construction.

According to the Bertolottis, construction on the 95 luxury condos began two years ago at the top of a cliff above their property. They say when the blasting began, pieces of debris fell into their yard near their sandbox.

Last week, the Bertolottis filed a police report after they say a golf ball flew off the cliff and almost crashed through their skylight.

The Bertolottis say they have been asking the town and the builders what will be done to protect their home and their children. However, they say they haven?t gotten a good answer. The construction manager says he put up a fence and netting around the property, but the Bertolottis say it hasn?t done the job.

The issue will go before the township committee next week.
