Cruise ship returns to N.Y. pier after tainted trip

The Norwegian Cruise Liner a Pine Hill resident fell from before going missing returned to port Sunday.

Mindy Jordan, 46, fell from a balcony to the water shortly after the ship left the pier May 11 en route to Bermuda. She is presumed dead by authorities.

Cruise officials believe the woman fell while trying to climb between balconies. Jordan's family, however, suspects foul play and think Jordan's boyfriend and travel partner may be involved.

Passengers say they worked hard to not let the incident cast a shadow over what should have been a light and sunny vacation.

"I think that we tried to make the best of it. The passengers were gung ho about making the best of it," says Victorio Farenga.

The FBI continues to investigate the incident. It is currently examining surveillance video of Jordan in her room prior to the fall.
