Bayonne residents can't get any shuteye due to trains

Neighbors along Prospect Avenue in Bayonne say freight trains are causing them restless nights.
"It's horrible," says resident Dottie Gutch. "You can't even sleep at night ? the whole house shakes. It's like an earthquake."
City officials blame a schedule change at Conrail and have asked the company to revert to its former schedule. If the company does not change its schedule back, the city may look into prosecuting Conrail for violating noise ordinances.
Angry Prospect residents attended a Bayonne City Council meeting Wednesday evening to voice their frustration. They say they need relief and compare the noise pollution to the sounds of war.
"It's like a hand grenade going off some nights," says one resident.
