Arrest made in Jersey City hit-and-run crash

Police have made an arrest in the Jersey City hit-and-run crash that left a 6-year-old boy fighting for his life.
Witnesses say Jabari Cooley was hit at around 9 p.m. Tuesday night at the intersection of Grand and Ocean avenues. Authorities say the boy was struck in front of his house and dragged about 70 feet.
Cooley was taken to Jersey City Medical Center in critical condition but has since been moved to University Hospital in Newark, where they handle more extreme trauma cases. He is suffering from severe head injuries and is listed in critical condition.
Police say they have arrested Jermain Mobley, who was seen wiping down the vehicle involved in the incident. Authorities are not sure if Mobley was behind the wheel at the time of the hit-and-run.
Mobley has been charged with evidence tampering. The owner of the car is being questioned as well.
