Fire in Eatontown kills 1

An early morning fire that tore through a mobile home Saturday killed one man and destroyed the house.
The blaze broke out at about 5 a.m. at 329 Adams St. in Eatontown. Authorities say 63-year-old Ken Baker was killed. Residents in the area say the fire did not cause damage to neighboring homes.
Neighbors say firefighters almost had the blaze contained, but a hydrant lost pressure, forcing them to run a hose from a more distant hydrant.
"The fire hydrants have not worked properly since I've been here," says German Sheldon, who has lived in the area for 10 years.
