Fire tears through North Brunswick apartment complex
Dozens of people in Middlesex County are homeless after a fire tore through an apartment complex Tuesday morning.
Residents say the flames broke out around 9 a.m. and quickly spread throughout the Governor?s Point II apartment complex. Many residents say they didn?t realize there was a fire until other tenants knocked on their doors.
Due to the fast-moving flames, witnesses say several tenants had to be rescued.
Some tenants say at least two dozen families were left homeless.At least one person was injured in the blaze. The extent of that injury is unknown.
