Towns move forward with sex offender housing limits

Towns like Freehold are moving forward with sex offender housing limits despite a New Jersey appeals court ruling forbidding similar regulations.
"Our ordinance said if under Megan's Law you are required to register, you cannot live within 1,000 feet of schools, playgrounds," says the Freehold Township administrator.
Towns like Freehold are moving forward in case the appellate ruling is thrown out.
A registered sex offender who requested anonymity told News 12 New Jersey that housing limits won?t stop predators from their crimes.
"2,000 feet, 3,000 feet per feet of a school ... doesn't matter if they are going to repeat and that's in their heart," he says.
