Cops: Bayonne cab company hit by vandals

? A Bayonne business and its longtime employees suffered a crippling vandalism last week when 16 tires were slashed at Archie?s Taxi Company.

Owner Bill Archiello ? Archie to friends ? had to spend money he set aside for local charities to repair the $1,400 worth of damages. Now, his drivers have decided to make up the difference. They say they?re happy to help out Archiello and his family?s business, which he says employs 53 people ? all friends, family and locals.

Most of the tires have been replaced. Surveillance cameras captured three vehicles leaving the crime scene. Archiello hopes the video will help police catch the culprits, who hit two thirds of the company?s vehicles in all.

Anyone with information should call police at 1-877-900-8477.
