Who needs the U.S Open?
There is another big tennis tournament going on across the river in New Jersey. And while the participants may not be as young as Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal, they're still very talented.
The Orange Lawn Tennis Club in South Orange is playing host to the U.S. Tennis Association's Grass Court National Championships, in which participants are 75 and older.
John Powless, of Wisconsin, and George McCabe, of Ohio, are competing in the South Orange event. They say tennis is a great sport for older generations because the running isn't too strenuous and keeps the heart healthy. And bragging rights aren't of too much concern.
"The big thing is we're alive - we're healthy," says McCabe. "We're able to do this and the camaraderie of this thing."
