Three separate shootings in only 14 hours have left Plainfield residents on edge days after the announcement of an anti-violence task force in Union County.
One of the shootings proved fatal. Quran Carter, 31, was killed Wednesday evening in a drive-by shooting outside the Marte Grocery store. The victim?s friends are heartbroken.
?I?d give anything just to speak to him again,? says Andrew Carter.
Police have not made any arrests in the shootings. A spokesperson for the Union County Prosecutor?s Office says there is an active investigation ongoing utilizing members of the task force and city police.
