Wharton woman sues JetBlue for nightmare flight
A Wharton woman is suing JetBlue Airways for claims a flight attendant sexually accosted her mid-flight.
Gina Rousset says attendant Dayne Arokium made her flight a nightmare. Rousset claims Arokium used vulgar language and touched himself provocatively in front of her after takeoff.
"He kept saying a lot of sexual things to me," she says. "That I wanted him ? he kept grabbing himself all the time. I mean, he grabbed himself a lot."
According to the woman, the flight attendant gave her his cell phone twice to show her nude pictures of him.
"He was like, 'oh, did you like that?'" she says.
Arokium allegedly went as far as to grope her backside while she returned to her seat from the restroom.
"I guess why I didn't scream, and why I didn't say anything is ... I was frozen."
Arokium was arrested seven months after the incident and charged with obscene and indecent exposure. Rousset decided to publicly come forward with her story after his arrest.
Rousset and her attorney plan on filing a civil suit against both JetBlue and Arokium. The airline issued a statement to News 12 New Jersey, saying it has a zero tolerance policy for harassment and will cooperate fully with authorities as they investigate.
