High school football player collapses during game

? A 16-year-old Montclair High School football player is fighting for his life after collapsing on the field Monday.
Ryne Dougherty, a linebacker on the junior varsity team, collapsed after making a tackle during a game at Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey. After the collapse, he got up briefly, but then fell again. He is in critical condition at Hackensack University Medical Center with a brain hemorrhage.
Montclair High School Principal Judith Weiss says she will keep students fully informed of Dougherty?s condition, no matter how dire.
Monday?s incident marks the third football-related tragedy in New Jersey in a span of three months.
