One woman was killed and five other people were injured early Saturday morning after an SUV drove into a crowd, police say.
Natalie Mestre, 26, was hit by the SUV and pronounced dead at Saint Joseph?s Hospital. Neighbors say a fight between two women started around 2 a.m., prompting 24-year-old Keema Green to get behind the wheel of a Mercury Mountaineer and drive recklessly into a crowd of women nearby.
The car fled the scene, but police were able to catch up to it and arrest Green after receiving anonymous tips.
Five other women were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. Neighbors say the fight between the women was over a man.
Green was initially charged with driving with a suspended license, but police say the investigation is ongoing.
