Clifton church shooting suspect captured in Georgia
The man accused of shooting his estranged wife and another man at a Clifton church was captured Monday night in Georgia. Authorities say they believed the suspect, 27-year-old Joseph Pallipurath, was heading to Georgia since he has relatives in the state. Passaic County Prosecutor James Avigliano has also revealed that Pallipurath, of California, stayed with a couple in Paterson and was in New Jersey for two weeks prior to the shooting. Avigliano says the couple was questioned but not charged in connection to the shootings. Police say Pallipurath fatally shot his estranged wife, 24-year-old Reshma James, and Dennis John Mallosseril Sunday at the St. Thomas Syrian Orthodox Knanaya Church. A third person, James' 47-year-old cousin, Silvy Perincheril, was wounded and is in critical condition. Pallipurath has been charged with two counts of homicide.Second victim dies from Clifton church shooting Gunman kills 1, severely injures 2 inside Clifton church
