10-month-old twins rescued after carjacking

A Newark mother had a huge scare Wednesday when her twin 10-month-old daughters were abducted in a carjacking.

The twins? mother stepped out of her car to lock the fence at 130 Hudson St. around 9 a.m. In the brief moment she left Jessie and Jenny Rivera unattended, a man allegedly jumped out of a second car and drove off in the Rivera?s vehicle.

Police were luckily able to locate the children within minutes. The girls were hospitalized briefly before being reunited with their parents and two older sisters.
