2 killed in Holmdel fire

Authorities are investigating a fire that killed two people on Red Hill Road in Holmdel Wednesday night.

Officials say the victims, only identified as a man and a woman, were found in the home as firefighters battled the blaze at around 7:00 p.m.

Neighbors tell News 12 New Jersey that the victims were a man and his girlfriend.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor?s Office says Holmdel and Middletown police departments, the fire marshal and arson investigators are probing the blaze.
