Belmar mayor not seeking re-election

Belmar Mayor Ken Pringle tells News 12 New Jersey that he will not be seeking re-election this fall.

Pringle, who has served as Belmar's mayor for 20 years, says that he is looking forward to spending more time with his family and will continue to work at his law firm.

The mayor received media attention in the past for the derogatory comments he made toward visitors to the Jersey Shore from Staten Island.
