Christie examines Passaic flooding

Gov. Chris Christie got a firsthand look at flood-ravaged Passaic County Wednesday.

The governor surveyed flooding both by helicopter and on the ground. He also met with the Passaic County Office of Emergency Management.

Wayne residents expressed their gratitude Wednesday night that Christie had visited the area. Local politicians have been attempting to solve the flood problem in the community for the past 75 years.

Christie's visit came four days after Passaic River waters rose above its bank.
