Students in Paterson facing extended school year

School officials in Paterson are deciding how to make up missed school days caused by this year's snow and flooding.

School officials say safety was the top priority during the recent flooding."We had to make the best decision keeping in mind that the safety of the students and staff is the number one priority," says Laura Franklin, of the Paterson School District.

Paterson school officials say they are considering extending the school year and adding Saturday classes to make up the missed days.

An official decision has not yet been made.
