Madison shelter celebrates National Puppy Day

Workers at the St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center are celebrating National Puppy Day by teaching people about the benefits of adopting a pet.

The Animal Welfare Center says it recently rescued several puppies from puppy mills in Hunterdon County and are caring for them at the shelter in Madison.

National Puppy Day is recognized annually on March 23, in an effort to save orphaned puppies and to educate the public about puppy mills.
