East Orange gets 'smart sensors'

The East Orange Police Department is using the latest technology to track criminals.

High-definition cameras with computer chips are being used to conduct human behavior analytics. The cameras are linked up with state-of-the-art sensors that recognize and detect criminal behavior.

If a crime is being committed, the sensor sends the information to a tactical vehicle locator, which sends it to the police department's computer dispatch.
