Christie, Lance talk flooding in Bound Brook

Gov. Chris Christie and Rep. Leonard Lance (R-N.J.) were in Bound Brook Friday to speak to residents about the recent floods that hit the area.

Christie spoke with business owners about what the state is doing to help those affected by the floods. He also thanked first responders and spoke about flood control.

Bound Brook officials also report the last phase of the Green Brook Flood Control Project will be completed in 2011, including completion of the third levee. The Green Brook Flood Control project was approved by Congress 24 years ago. Christie says the project can't be delayed any longer and it must be finished as soon as possible.
