Police impersonator reported in Clifton

Clifton police say a man has been dressing up as a police officer and robbing drivers.

According to police, the man pulled over another man and robbed him. The alleged police impersonator had lights on his car.

An employee from Auto Sounds Plus in Wayne says customers don?t need to prove they are with a law enforcement agency in order to purchase strobe lights.

Clifton police are telling residents if they see someone with lights on their car and aren?t sure if they are a police officer, they should call 911.
