IRS offices helping NJ residents with taxes
The IRS office in Edison is helping residents prepare their taxes before the fast-approaching April 15 deadline.
Grecia Rincon, of Hillsborough, says she came in Saturday because she found filing online to be a maze of links.
"Confusing. The more you read, the more confused you get," she says. "[It's] better to come in and talk to a real person."
The IRS opened 11 other centers similar to the one in Edison to save people the money it would cost to hire an accountant.
IRS officials say many are surprised by new tax credits. There is one for new homeowners and one for higher education students.
