Woman rescues relatives from Newark fire

Neighbors say a family member returning home early Sunday found her Newark house ablaze and ran inside to rescue her relatives.

Fire officials say no one was injured in the fire, but the flames destroyed the home. According to firefighters, the blaze began on the second floor of the home and spread from there.

Neighbors say the three women who lived there, including a 73-year-old, made it out safely, but one woman dropped her car keys in the fire.

Fire officials say the 73-year-old suffered smoke inhalation, but is expected to recover.
