Passaic River remains above flood stage

The sun was shining on New Jersey Thursday afternoon, but some New Jersey residents still had to deal with a major cleanup, the second in just as many weeks.

Wayne is so flooded in certain areas that a boat is needed to get around. As of Thursday, some homes are standing in as much as 3 feet of water. News 12 New Jersey meteorologist Dave Curren says local rivers and streams are expected to crest by the end of Thursday. Curren says warmer temperatures and clearer skies are expected for the rest of the week.

As of Thursday evening, flood warnings remain in effect for Essex, Passaic, Morris and Somerset counties along the Passaic River.
