Roselle Park students protest spending cuts

Students at Roselle Park High School rallied Thursday against spending cuts by Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.).

The students hung 18 black shirts with Xs to symbolize the teachers that were being laid off.

"It's going to affect a lot of our academic programs and our sports programs," said Kwasi Bowman, a junior at the high school.

District officials said they will need to make tough decisions regarding staff and programs in the wake of the budget cuts.
