Boil water advisory continues for Jersey City

United Water officials have advised customers in Jersey City to continue to boil all water used for consumption.

According to officials, the break occurred on a 36-inch water pipeline on Route 7 in South Kearny late Wednesday evening.

Officials say they are working with the NJ State Department of Environmental Protection to test water quality in the area.

Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority and United Water officials are at the site of the break to focus on repair options.
