Cops: McDonald's attacker surrenders

Police say the man who assaulted a drive-thru employee at a South Brunswick McDonald's turned himself in Monday.

Authorities say 34-year-old Rashon East turned himself in eight days after the alleged attack due to media coverage of the case.

Cops say East attacked the employee because he was tired of waiting for a Filet-O-Fish sandwich

East is charged with simple assault and making a terroristic threat. His first court appearance is April 13.
