Police: 2 injured in Newark double shooting

Newark police are investigating a double shooting at Renner and Goodwin avenues Monday.

Officers responded to the scene at around 5:30 p.m. and found a male and female suffering from gunshot wounds. Police say the man was shot in the upper back and the woman in the head.

Authorities say both victims were responsive and talking before they were transported to University Hospital. They are expected to recover from their injuries.

No arrests have been made.
