AP source: Man on flight possibly sneaking smoke

(AP) - A Qatari diplomat trying to sneak a smoke inan airplane bathroom sparked a bomb scare Wednesday night on aflight from Washington to Denver, with fighter jets scrambled andlaw enforcement put on high alert, law enforcement officials said.

No explosives were found on the man. and officials do notbelieve he was trying to to harm anyone, according to a senior lawenforcement officials who spoke on condition of anonymity.

The sources asked not to be identified because they were notauthorized to discuss the ongoing investigation.

Meanwhile, a passenger on a flight arriving at Newark Liberty International Airport Wednesday night reported that flights at the airport were briefly delayed and passengers were told to remain in their seats due to the DC-Denver incident.
