NJ hit by ramped-up allergy season
Many seasonal allergy sufferers have been hit hard by allergy attacks recently across the Garden State.
Dr. Robert Malizia, of Doctor's Express in Paramus, blames the long cold winter and heavy spring rains for the rise in allergy attacks. He says warmer temperatures and the fact that many plants and trees are blooming at the same time are also playing a role.
To keep allergies at bay, Dr. Malizia recommends staying indoors when possible and keeping windows shut. He also says filters should be changed in registers for those with central air. Air purifiers can also help.
