Man charged with 5 killings pleads not guilty
Bail is set at $6 million for the man accused of killing five people in Jersey City over a two-month period.
Shiquan Bellamy, 19, appeared in Hudson County Superior Court today and pleaded not guilty to the slayings.
Bellamy was charged with two other women in the killings of a couple in Jersey City who had returned from their engagement party on Easter. Authorities believe they were killed following a botched car-jacking.
The 19-year-old was charged yesterday with three more killings.
Bellamy was also charged in the Feb. 2 felony murders of cousins Mileak Richardson and Lester "Bleek" Thompson, as well as the March 27 murder of 20-year-old Lamonte Wright.
