Clean Ocean Action releases NJ beach report

Clean Ocean Action released its 2009 report of trash collected along NJ beaches today.

The group marks its 15th year of conducting beach sweeps along the Jersey Shore.

The group says plastics account for nearly 77 percent of garbage cleaned up from beaches. Cigarette filters account for 13 percent of the trash.

Clean Ocean Action will host its next beach sweep on April 24.
