Volcanic ash causes travel delays worldwide

Hundreds of thousands of passengers are having to deal with canceled flights around the world due to volcanic ash drifting toward the United Kingdom.

The volcano erupted in Iceland, but the volcanic ash continues to travel southward.

Airlines say they are concerned that the volcanic ash could seep into plane engines.

Passengers scheduled to fly out of Newark, JFK, LaGuardia or Philadelphia International airport are urged to check with their carriers for possible delays.
