Paterson Catholic High School to close

The Diocese of Paterson announced that Paterson Catholic High School will close at the end of the current school year in June.

The diocese cites its long-term debt, a combination of not meeting its development budget and a low tuition-collection rate as reasons for closing the school. Paterson Catholic is facing a $925,000 cash shortfall for this fiscal year, according to a diocese release.

The diocese said in a released statement, "Debt continues to increase and the diocese cannot absorb these increases".
