Volunteers clean up Jersey Shore beaches

More than 1,000 volunteers were at the Jersey Shore today to try to clean up its beaches.Soda bottles, candy wrappers and plastic bags were just some of the washed-up items that were found during the 25th annual Beach Sweeps. The event is run by Clean Ocean Action, which says 2010 was an extra-crucial year for the cleanup.The organization says it makes notes of what is found on the beaches and hopes to use the data to fight for stronger laws.
