Report: Car repairs in NJ high due to bad roads
Drivers in the Garden State aren't surprised at the results of a newly released national study on car repair costs associated with road conditions.
New Jersey takes the top spot in the recent study, showing that drivers foot an average of $596 annually due to poor road conditions. The report says the national average for repair costs is $335.
Ron Ruben, of Jersey City, agrees with the national study saying, "I've gone through so many tires these past couple of months."
Experts say heavy traffic, more roads and aging roads and bridges are to blame for the road conditions.
