Reform rally held in Trenton
The latest battle between lawmakers and teachers took place tonight in Trenton.
The rally follows walkouts that took place Tuesday across the state to protest cuts in education by Gov. Chris Christie (R -N.J.). Yesterday, the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) sued the state over new legislation that the group says will take 1.5 percent of salaries from public school employees as a requirement for them to qualify for health insurance. The NJEA says it violates the collective bargaining rights of school employees.
