Crane collapses in Bergenfield

A crane collapse in Bergenfield today forced the owner of a tree-removal company to jump for her life.

Officials say the wind caused a 100-foot crane to come crashing down with operator Kim Mitchell inside. After Mitchell jumped from the crane, it proceeded to crash into the roof of the house located at 89 Birch Ave.

Mitchell was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with a knee injury.
