NJ teens take driver safety course

Volunteer driving instructors in Edison are taking the time to show teen drivers how to react behind the wheel in the case of an emergency.

The Tirerack Street Survival Program offers teens two hours of experience in the classroom and behind the wheel to learn from instructors. Among other things, they show teens how to recover out of a skid and how to avoid road hazards.

According to a report, during the spring and summer months, "on average," 13 teen drivers will die in car accidents every day.
