Crash shuts down part of Route 24

Emergency crews are working to clean up the road way after a tractor-trailer overturned on an exit ramp off of Route 24 in Morristown early this morning.

State police say the tractor-trailer overturned near the exit for Route 287 around 4:30 a.m. Hazmat teams responded to the scene after police reported that the chemicals carried by the truck were leaking onto the roadway.

The driver of the truck was taken to Morristown Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.

Police have not identified the driver of the truck.

Drivers can expect delays in the area throughout the morning.
